News Round up Friday 3rd April

Hi everyone

Hope you’re coping with this enforced stay at home situation.
We are a resilient group and we have absolutely no reason to get bored. Goodness knows there are enough works-in-progress in our cupboards and drawers!

It’s been busy...

Some of us have actually finished projects: (Thank you Meriel)

Some of us are trying new (batik) techniques:

Some of us are taking part in on-line challenges:

And some of us have inspiration for the coming week:

Fancy making a beautiful couture fabric rose? Look no further. Thanks Helen.

All details are here for free!

And talking of on line challenges, Textile artist are just getting into their stride with their second week, this time with the venerable Cas Holmes. There’s a video from Cas and and a beautifully clear workbook on their site. What’s not to like?

There really is no excuse!

In separate news, Angela Rowles and her neighbours organised a celebration for one of their neighbours who reached the giddy age of 102 on Friday. Well done Angela. It just goes to show that we don’t need to be socially distant, even if we’re practising social distancing!

 Speak soon!
