Avoncroft Young Embroiderers exhibition - Artrix Arts Centre

Avoncroft Young Embroiderers have an exhibition of their work at 

Artrix Arts Centre  in Bromsgrove, running from now until 25th 

September. On show is a varied collection of examples of work done in 

the monthly meetings plus group pieces, including 'Celebration in 

Red' and 'Peacock'. It is a lovely exhibition showcasing what the 

young people can do and is well worth coming to see.

The YE exhibition is on the top floor in the Vestibule Gallery and 

has already had a thumbs up from Alex of EG head office who was in 

putting up a major exhibition by the EG of works done for the 

Capability Brown celebrations. Pieces on show are gathered from 

textile/embroidery artists and individual members from around the 

country, including Cas Holmes and Diana Springall. Again well worth a 

look.

On Saturday 17th September the Avoncroft YE are holding their monthly 

meeting in the foyer at Artrix as a 'Come and Stitch' day. They have 

a 'tree' plus fabric and threads and would be pleased if people would 

call in, stitch and add a leaf to the tree, which will then go on 

display as part of the exhibition.
