February Stitch of the month: Fern stitch
Hi everyone
New month; new stitch. This month we're exploring Fern Stitch.
Fern Stitch - This stitch can be worked geometrically with all stitches the same length, or freely to create more naturalistic foliage.
It consists of three straight stitches which all radiate from the same point. Bring the needle up at A and make a straight stitch up to B. Then come up at C and work a diagonal stitch back down to A. Finish stitch off by emerging at D and taking thread back down to A. Start the next group of stitches at E, directly below A.
And not forgetting some very impressive Japanese Stitch work in progress by Helen:
Speak soon. Stay safe and happy stitching!
