If you're in need of inspiration, take a look at this article about the Royston Tapestry.  Royston in Hertfordshire decided they could produce the equivalent of the Bayeux Tapestry for their town and it's been a stunning success: at one point the tapestry had over 2,000 visitors in six days! Does Cotteridge need the same, I wonder? Thank you Helen Miller for spotting this story.
