Party like it's 1966...

At the Birmingham Embroiderers' Guild summer party last Monday, Mary Quant reigned supreme and the Meeting House in Cotteridge was transformed into a fabulously coloured 1960s dream.

Special thanks must go to Ruth Lowe for her superb talk on Mary Quant and her inside knowledge of all things fashion. I desperately wanted to smuggle out the silk and ostrich feather floaty coat but alas Ruth had to take all her Quant treasures home with her.

Congratulations go to Meriel for winning the Summer Competition. Thanks also go to all who dressed up, brought food and made the evening possible.
