News Round-up 29th May

Hi Everyone

June is around the corner and that means it's Library meet-up time. Come and join us on Saturday 1st June for a bit of stitch, coffee and whatever takes your fancy at the cafe at the Library of Birmingham,  Mezzanine floor, 11-2pm. Bring your own projects or try some of our supplies.

Bee yourself...

Tina Francis is the brains behind a massive Birmingham collaborative art project which will be made up of a thousand tiny tapestry bees. The aim is to  get people from all communities stitching and the finished giant tapestry will be displayed in the Jewellery Quarter later this year.

At the meeting on 10th June we will have kits available for anyone who would like to join in. The bees are small enough  to complete during the meeting and each comes with a tag so
the stitcher can write a bit about themselves. The background in these pictures is pink but other colours will be available so you can choose.

Tina is collecting the bees the next day and it would be great to let her have as many as possible from our group.

Bye for now...
