You are invited to stitch a Tea Party at the Library of Birmingham.

This Saturday August 1st we will be in our usual place on the mezzanine floor of the library between 11 & 2, but there is a special difference as it is National Stitch Day.

This year there is a tea party theme as it is theme is the 150th anniversary of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

We will be providing templates and calico for you to do your own design of teacup, cupcake, pocket watch, teapot or a top hat.

Please bring along a 5 inch embroidery hoop if you have one and your normal sewing kit, we will have threads to share but do bring your own as well if you wish.

Elizabeth has suggested that the finished items can go toward a Tactile Book for Clear Vision so if you wish you can contribute your finished item to Elizabeth.

Anyone of any age or ability can join us and there will be plenty of materials and help to share so why not bring you favourite tea cup and join in the fun!

Thank you so much for this wonderful invitation. I will definitely be there but before that I need to help my uncle to book one of party venues in Houston for his party. Managing and planning for an event can be quite a task.
